We will be holding an event to allow you to fully enjoy the color, deep taste and aroma of Japanese tea. Each of the four types of Japanese tea - Gyokuro, Sencha, Matcha, and Wakocha - will be paired with a sweets. Mami Kagami from à la maison will do a live demonstration for Gyokuro and Matcha.

About the event

The history of Japanese tea dates back to 700-800 CE, when it was brought from China. It was not until after 1600 CE a side from conflicting theories that tea was introduced to the general public but only as a luxury item.

Since then, Japanese tea changed its form in various ways and became established as the world famous Japanese tea of today.

We will be holding an event

to allow you to fully enjoy the color, deep taste and aroma of Japanese tea.

Fine High Grade Green Tea (Hot)

Umami Shiso infused Green Tea (Cold)

Ceremonial Grade Matcha from Kyoto Uji / Yame Kyusyu (Hot)

Japanese Black Tea from Yame Kyusyu (Cold)

Four types of high-grade tea served with complementary sweets.

The four kinds of paired sweets are handmade with the finest ingredients and delicious items imported from Japan.
