As the new year 2024 began, it has been two full years since the à la Maison store began. We have had many local customers and people from all over the United States come to visit our store. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for visiting our small store.
We are pleased to announce that we will be closing our store on January 28th.We will be renovated and reborn as a new store.The online store will remain the same and we will continue to accept orders.We will also take custom-made flower designs order in advance via email. Please feel free to contact us for more information.We are not yet able to share with you our plans for re-opening, but we sincerely look forward to seeing you again in the near future at the same location.
2024年が明けて、アラメゾンがオープンして、丸2年が経ちました。地元のお客様、そして、アメリカ全土からも、たくさんの方にお店に遊びに来ていただきました。小さなお店に、足をお運びいただけた事、心から、感謝申し上げます。
この度、1月31日をもって、一旦お店を閉じる運びとなりました。 そして、リノベーションをして、新しいお店に生まれ変わります。
オンラインショップは、変わらずに、ご注文を受けさせていただきます。お花のオーダーは、お問合せのメールにて、カスタムメードデザイン、
事前予約のみ承らせていただきます。お問合せは、お気軽にお待ち申し上げております。
再オープンの予定はまだ未定ですが、同じ場所で、また皆様にお会い出来る事を、心より楽しみにしております。

The pursuit of beauty is the essence of us creators, not from the perspective of whether it is right or wrong, but from the desire to continue wandering in search of something while confronting nature, and when we reach the destination, we feel that it is the ultimate beauty.
I believe that when each human being finally connects with nature and the universe, the interaction between nature and us is created, and this creates art, which only we can produce.
By feeling the vibrations of these arts with the whole body, and by the wonderful power we feel there, we can resonate with them, I believe that the vibration of love can be transmitted to as many people as possible.
After more than 30 years as a floral designer in Tokyo and Hawaii, I am very grateful to be working in Hawaii.
Beautiful scenery, beautiful flowers, beautiful nature, and beautiful people. Hawaii is a small island tucked away in the middle of the ocean, where you can have niche experiences that you cannot experience in the big city.
There are not enough flowers to work as a floral designer there. I have been thinking about this for 14 years now. Is my thought a reality?
Indeed, the import of flowers is strictly regulated on the island,
As a designer who has to express ourselves in different ways with only a fraction of the flowers in the world,
what kind of artwork is it possible to create?
Thinking about it, I feel that more than 10 years have passed.
However, the few flowers that did make it to Hawaii, were delivered under such difficult situation,
I think that such a small joy. I feel sometime now that this is an important part of being a floral designer in Hawaii that
I could not experience when I was a designer in Tokyo.
In Japan, where I was born, there are four seasons, and flowers, of course, have different expressions, smells, and shapes depending on the season.
Here in Hawaii, flowers change only about twice a year, and it is difficult to sense seasonal and climate changes, but if you sharpen your sensitivity, you will be able to perceive small changes.
That is what it means to confront nature.
Hawaii is a place where we can enjoy the benefits of nature as a matter of course.
There are many messages hidden deep within that nature. Receiving these messages, we can cycle with nature, harmonize with it, and realize its true beauty.
I hope to create my shop where people can become aware of such wonderful messages from nature.

Take time to enjoy the taste.
Enjoy the sounds in nature, and the beautiful music created by people.
A place to sharpen your senses, to savor the moments of relaxation from the heart ,and find things to spend precious time with.
The core concept of this store is to continue to be such a store.
I am here to always return to the starting point, stop, and still move forward.
To be able to grow together with our customers,
I believe this is the most important driving force for me.
To be able to share beauty with you.
This is what I want.
美を追求することは、私たちクリエーターの本質であり、それが正しいのか間違っているのかの視点ではなく、
自然と対峙しながら、何かを求めて彷徨い続け、たどり着く先、それが究極の美であるような気がします。
そして、最終的にそれぞれの人間が、自然、宇宙と繋がることで、自然と人間の相互作用ができ、その先に、
唯一、人間にしかできない、芸術を生み出すのだと、私は思います。
それらの芸術の波動を、身体全体で感じ、そこで感じる素晴らしいパワーによって、人は共鳴し、
愛の振動を、沢山の人に、伝導することが出来るのだと思います。
お花のデザイナーとして、東京と、ハワイで、３０年以上の歳月が経ち、
現在ハワイと言う地で、活動させていただいていることに、大変感謝しています。
美しい景色、美しい花々、美しい自然、そして美しい人々。
都会では味わえない、ニッチな体験ができる、海の中にポツンとある小さな島ハワイ。
そこでフラワーデザイナーとして、活動するには、お花の種類があまりにも少ない。
と、いう思いの中で14年の歳月が経ちました。
思いは現実なのか？
確かに、お花の輸入の規制が厳しい島なので、世界にあるお花のほんの一部のお花だけで、
色々な表現をしなければならないデザイナーとして、どんな作品を生み出す事が可能なのか？
それを考えて、10年以上の月日が経ってしまった気がします。
しかし、その大変な規制の中で届いた数少ないお花達が、
ハワイまで届いてくれた事、ハワイで育った数少ないお花が、無事に私の手元に届くこと。
そんな小さな喜びが、ハワイのフラワーデザイナーとして、都会のデザイナー時代には味わえなかった、
大切な部分なのではないか？と最近ではそんな風に感じることもあります。
私の生まれ故郷の日本には、四季があり、お花はもちろん、季節によって、
表情も、香も、形も、違うものがたくさんあります。ここハワイのお花の変化は2期程度しかなく、
なかなか、季節の変化や、気候の変化を感じ取るのは、難しいですが、感覚を研ぎ澄ますと、
小さな変化を感じることが出来るようになります。それこそが、自然と対峙する。と言うことなのでしょうか？
当たり前のように、自然の恩恵を受ける事ができるハワイ。
その自然の中にさらに奥深く、隠されている沢山のメッセージ。
そのメッセージを受け取り、自然と循環し、調和し、真の美しさに気づく。
そんな素晴らしい自然からのメッセージに気づけるような、空間作りをしていければと、日々考えております。
お花を愛でる。
素敵な芸術、技に触れる。
香りの中にある、裏側の世界に足を踏み入れる。
味わいをゆっくり楽しむ。
風や、動物、自然の中にある音、人が作る美しい音色を愉しむ。
感覚を研ぎ澄まし、心からゆっくりした時間を味わい、
大切な時間を一緒に過ごすもの、を見つけられる場所として、
丁寧にものを選び、皆様にご提供する。
そんなお店であり続けることが、このお店の、コアなコンセプトであります。
いつでも原点に戻り、立ち止まり、それでも前に進んでいる私がここにいます。
お客様と一緒に成長していける事、
これが1番の、大きな私の原動力なのだと思います。
美しいものを皆さまと共有できる事。
これこそが私の望みです。
New announcement
We would like to announce that ala maison is evolving and will be working together with Tomi Bratland, owner and designer of Nature Metal Works, with a desire to create an interactive space that focuses on two states of nature: Timeless and Temporary.
Tomi’s intricate patterns of nature are preserved by sculpting the fragility of plant life into silver, gold and other metals to create a timeless moment of nature. My floral designs express only the most beautiful moment of seasonal plants to be enjoyed only within the valuable limit of time. These two contradictory works of art collaborate to create a space where the both us have a similar aesthetic along with a deep respect and love for plants and nature.
The perfect timing is just right upon us. When I think about how we met here in Hawaii, both as nature and plant lovers, it is a peculiar feeling as if a treasure landed right in front of me. It was immediately evident. Tomi is light as the wind, strong to the core like steel, and exuding beauty. I felt that the spirit must be watching me. When you need someone, the person you need comes down to you.
That is how I felt.
This is the reason why it took us no time at all to deepen our understanding of each others desire to grow with nature. We both love and enjoy to discover, to feel the fragrances and to listen carefully to all that nature surrounds us with. We will share the beauty of Japanese culture and artisans' techniques with events and exhibitions of works highlighting unique approaches and new discoveries that we encounter.
Continue with us on our journey and stay connected as we evolve over the next couple of months. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon and feeling alive with nature!
皆様にお知らせがございます。
Ala maisonの、次なるステージを一緒に歩むことが決まった、
Nature metal works主催のTomi Bratlandさん。
自然、そして植物好きな2人が、
会うべくしてハワイで出会い、
タイミングが重なって、
2人で新しい世界を創造します。
出会いを考えると、不思議なもので、目の前に宝物が降りてきた。
まさしく、そんな感じの出会いでした。
風の様に軽く、鋼の様に芯が強く美しさが滲み出ている方でした。
天はきっと見ているのだなあと。
必要とするときに、必要とする人が降りてくる。
そんな感覚でした。
二人の美意識が似ていること。
お互いが、植物、自然に対する深い敬意を抱いていること。
これらが、お互いの理解を深める事に、全く時間を要さなかった点です。
自然を愛でて、香りを楽しみ、耳を澄ませる。
だからこそ生まれる、
Tomiさんの、自然を永遠に閉じ込めるジュエリー。
植物の一番美しい、一瞬のみを表現するフラワーデザイナーの私。
そんな相反する2人のアート作品が、コラボレーションする、空間を作ります。
2人で企画するイベント、
そして、私たち日本人が、日本の美しい文化や、匠な技術を、お伝えしていきながら、
わたしたちが想う、一番の美しさを表現し、皆様と分かち合えたら、
大変光栄に思います。
数ヶ月間、リニューアルオープンに向けて、リノベーションをさせて頂きます。
そして又、皆様とお会いできる日が来る事を、2人で、楽しみにしております。
