About the event

Nerikiri is one of the most traditional types of Japanese confectionery. It has a long history that dates back to the Edo period ( 江戸時代 1603-1868), and with the rise of the tea ceremony culture, it gained more popularity.

Nerikiri is made from red anko beans or white lima beans that are kneaded and shaped into beautiful motifs reflecting seasonal elements.

During this workshop, we will learn how to shape and knead three different types of nerikiri.

The food coloring used for this workshop is naturally derived from fruits and Vegetables.
